Ryniker-Morrison Gallery presents “A Show of Hands” exhibit March 16-April 6

BILLINGS, March 4, 2017 – Rocky Mountain College’s Ryniker-Morrison Gallery will host “A Show of Hands” exhibit in Tech Hall on the RMC campus from March 16 through April 6, 2017. The exhibit will feature the lettering arts of the Big Sky Scribes and local guilds including Billings’ own Yellowstone Calligraphers Guild. The public is cordially invited to the opening reception of the show on Thursday, March 16, 2017, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. The exhibit is free and the public is cordially invited to attend.

Big Sky Scribes of Montana is an association of amateur and professional calligraphers mainly from Montana whose mission is to promote the lettering arts. Big Sky Scribes organizes two state workshops a year with nationally renowned calligraphers as instructors. On-going classes of all levels are also taught in various cities around the state by professional Montana calligraphers, usually through a local Adult Education Program. Artists featured include: Nancy Ball, Anne Franke, Ruth Gates, Beth Lee, Sarah Behrens Lemon, Christine Prescott, Rebecca Smith, Mary Alice Spencer, Elizabeth Waddington, and Helen Widenhofer.
