BILLINGS, February 19, 2017 – Rocky Mountain College has been chosen to represent the state of Montana at the American Choral Directors National Conference in Minneapolis, Minn., on March 8-11, 2017.

Only one collegiate choir from each state is invited to send a balanced quartet (SATB) of prepared singers to participate in this exceptional opportunity. Singers from 50 states will be featured on a special Unity Concert, with Dr. Jeffery Ames of Belmont University leading the choir and serving as artistic director for the concert.

RMC students who have been selected to attend include:

*Gretchen Carlson – soprano
Kayleigh Griffith – soprano
Paige Schladetsch – alto
Trevor Hunnes – tenor
Mitchell Harmon – bass

(*Gretchen Carlson was selected as an alternate to fill a vacancy from one of the other 49 states.)

RMC’s Professor of Music Dr. Steven Hart said, "I’m thrilled that our students will showcase Rocky Mountain College as they represent Montana at this prestigious event."
